Dip Pen Nanolithography (DPN) works by the principle of quill-pen, where molecules are transferred in the liquid droplet. AFM tip is dipped into molecular ink to form a liquid droplet. Then the tip is written over the surface to transfer the ink molecules to the surface.
We use DPN technique to direct deposition of conducting and bi-functional compounds and nano-particles, DNA, proteins, etc. We also test DPN for in situ chemical reactions as well as multilayer assembly.
