This technique measures thin Au films, where a surface plasmon is easily excited by polarized light. A plasmon is very sensitive any surface modifications that happen on Au film. Therefore we are able to detect single molecule layers, as well as measure their change with proccesing and/or time. The plasmon resonance is detected by Ellipsometer and thickness data is extracted using a resonant Au model. The main advantage of our tool is imaging camera, allowing seeing micrometer resolution molecular patterns.
